in the spirit of the diversity spearheaded by music festivals like Krazy Fest and Michigan Fest, 7 Lakes City (with the help of friends) organized Earth Decay 2009 wherein musicians from different independent music communities will be able to mix things up.

Earth Decay aims for an open and tolerant space where bands who would not usually play together can dish out their tunes to a diversified audience. we thought it would be fun to see and hear the pop tunes of ang bandang shirley along side the ambient sludge of omerta, while later on feeling mushy to the melodies of aunt audrey before floorpunching to piledriver.

this is not a HC, Punk, SXE, Indie, Crust, Metal, mine versus yours show…

this show is for US.

as much as we wanted to include gorgoro in the line up, we were not able to thresh out the details with them and opted for another band to play instead.

no so good news, xstaidx has informed me that they might not be able to make it to the show, as led will be out of the country this coming october.

- mihara decided that they will not be playing the earth decay show and it is possible that eyes of fire will be their alternate.

sa kalilipas na hagupit ng bagyong ondoy, madami sa ating kababayan ang nakaranas ng epekto ng mapait na pagbabago na panahon. makikita natin ang kagyat na pangangailangan tugunan ang usaping pangkalikasan.

inaanyayahan po namin kayo na magkita-kita po tayo sa earth decay sa darating na oct 24 sa san pablo, laguna para manawagan sa pagtugon sa usaping pangkalikasan. salamat po.

earth decay updates: armas has informed us that they won't be able to play but suggested their slot to be given to brit-pop influenced - name above all names. another thing to look out for is the reunion of a pasig-based 90s hardcore band, hint: fans of strife always go crazy when these guys play.
