Everyone wants to be a rockstar, i don't know, maybe one way or another.

Siguro it's the corporate side of mainstream bands yung inaayawan ng some ug kids, agree? But if we'll talk about the music of these artists, i think there are plenty similarities. Sa mainstream, yeah, siguro medyo manufactured na mga materials and all the packaging. Dahil they're into the showbusiness na eh, which di mo masisisi because maybe (or yun na nga marahil) it's their source of income, wala tayo magagawa dun. But the music or the "art", i believe, would still be there kahit na anong gawing digta sayo ng mge record producers, kahit anong luto pa gawin dyan, artists would always be artists...i dont know, maybe it's just me.

If a ug band becomes "sell out", most kids ignore na lang, but that's ok, kasi ayaw nila ng ganun eh, pero we're talking about THE music nga kasi eh. I love Hale, man! Reminds me SOMETIMES of DCFC. They are mainstream but i dig the music. Pero halimbawa Cueshe. Puta mainstream na nga tapos tanga pa ang tugtugan, yun yon, that's what im talking about YO!

I'll just put it this way na lang (trabaho muna, dito na boss ko, dude!): UG vs Mainstream is not equal to ART vs CUESHE MUSIC!

from my opinion, i just don't see myself watching mainstream acts live though i tried to listen to them, did not like it much.
i believe that these people are musically inclined indeed but somehow, you will ask it for your self "where's the attitude?"

pero hindi lahat ganun, madami pa ring magagandang mainstream acts, kaya lang natatabunan sila nung mga musikerong mukhang pera at basta nalang makatugtog kahit na alam nila ampangit ng ginagawa nila. kaya rin siguro naiistereotype ang mainstream na "baduy".
