every culture has aspects of it that could be packaged and sold. paano kaya no kung nagkaroon nga ng hardcore line ang penshoppe? jerseys, camo shorts, bandannas and athletic sneakers slapped with a penshoppe logo on it. an emo series for the hardcore line with artsy-fartsy line drawings and non-sequitur pictures right next to old running shoes and tight-ass jeans. a line for those tough-guy types who'd want penshoppe shirts with brass knuckles on em. should they come up with one, it's not my problem, really. still wouldn't see the point in subscribing to that. come on guys, i can take a hint. "some dumb kid bought a pair of new balances and feels 'hardcore' and wants to feel as awesome as everyone else." that's pretty much old hat. that certainly doesn't fit any of my motives for posting this thread. saw people wearing NBs, tried out a pair, found out it was actually pretty comfortable, probably looking for people who shared the same sentiments for a particular pair of shoes. i don't know if it's the notion of ragging on kids who are amused (or "try too hard" in your implied context) by the stuff they see other people in the scene wear (albeit simple curiosity behind why so many do in the first place) but all the sarcasm is uncalled for. i'd appreciate it more if i got more of an explanation behind your expressions of apparent disdain instead of a barrage of ad hominems; maybe some other people could learn something from it as well.
