pasok yung hindi porket me torotot ska (pwede kasing new year, jazz, adultery reference)
appreciate the effort, oks ang sense of humour.
instead of the usual 'lyrical o ethical content' ng banda. Cool

may point!!!
kaso useless mag label sa mga bandang creative talaga(nasusuppress kasi yun mismong creativity, siguro dun maganda ilagay yun term na avantgarde as a genre? ) well music is art pa rin kaya dapat hndi isupress (do what you want with your music Smile) )
kaso if you are aiming to recreate the "essence" of a band or genre tingin ko dun na papasok yun labeling para makuha mo yun exact essence nun genre XD

Much appreciated!

haha bali ganun nga ang nang yayari, kaso kelangan aminin ng both sides na kung wala yun mga "cross over" people/bands na yan hndi uunlad ang tugtugan XD kaso iba na yun sa labeling medyo malayo na ata yun XD

labelling in its pure aspect is a natural need of the mind, and is healthy, but when labelling becomes a way to stereotype, or labelling becomes stereotyping then it becomes counterproductive. Many mainstream label companies rely on "labelling"(in the sense of stereotyping) to make big profits. Back in the 90'sjust the word gothic metal, or grunge, or even hardcore in the label will mean money for them. So from stereotyping, labelling becomes a marketing strategy. Then the rich kids will buy all records with the type of music they think will make them cool. Then labelling becomes becomes a tool for the status quo(punk aKO, metal ako). Then labelling is used as a reason to fight(punk vs metal, hiphop vs metal, vilmanians vs noranians.) And an artist or band was tagged as a sell out when they incorporated a different genre in their style- then labelling becomes confining, an artistic retrogression.

so i somehow agree with soral to label with standards or not label at all. But my point more is- label for the simple reason of describing or identifying or not label at all.

PS
posers and wannabe famous have also been using labelling as a stepping stone(kaya nga merong mga dating mas punk pa kay jello biafra or mas metal pa kay dave mustain) e nag a RNB na ngayon.
