Does anyone remember (hopefully fondly) the Canadian Hardcore band from the 90's? I heard they were really disliked in the European scene due to the conflicting views of xCHOKEHOLDx being anti-militaristic/pro-choice while the rest were...not. There's always the great debate on who is the definitive vegan HXC band: xCHOKEHOLDx or EARTH CRISIS.

I didn't agree with EC's stance on a woman's right to choose
but Chokehold was not as sonically pummeling as EC.

I'll go with Chokehold and choose substance over sound.

Chokehold was a very militant leftist Canadian outfit (pro-choice, pro worker, atheist, anti-authoritarian etc)
while Earth Crisis remains a very Christian band advocating Christian upbringing and pro life.
